Yes — and that is actually the point. Private Lessons are specifically designed for owners who want to be actively involved in their dog's training from day one. You are not just an observer; you are a participant. Every session builds your own handling skills alongside your dog's obedience, which is exactly what makes the results last at home.
Each session is typically one hour, though the pace and structure are always tailored to where your dog is on a given day. Dogs learn best when sessions end on a high note rather than when they are mentally fatigued — our trainers read that line carefully and adjust accordingly.
In many cases, yes. We evaluate every dog individually before beginning any behavior modification work. Depending on the nature and severity of the aggression, Private Lessons may be the ideal format — or we may recommend one of our more immersive programs for faster, safer results. We will always tell you the honest answer during your free consultation.
The difference is enormous. In a group class, the trainer divides attention across every dog and owner in the room, and the curriculum moves at the pace of the slowest student. In a Private Lesson, your trainer's complete focus belongs entirely to you and your dog for the full session. Every minute is spent on your specific challenges, your specific goals, and your specific dog — which produces faster, more durable results than any group setting can match.
